The Natural Scenery Tour across Northern Xinjiang

Day-1: Arrive in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also called �fine pastureland� in Mongolian language. meet and transfer to local tourism restaurant for dinner. Overnight in Hotel World Plaza or Miramar Hotel

Day-2: Drive to �Multi-colored Bay��a typical Yardan landform, some 275 km away from Urumqi. In the afternoon visit the ruins of the Beiting Military Viceroy�s office and the ruins of Xidasi Temple. Overnight in Jimsar Guesthouse

Day-3: Morning departure for a petrified forest visiting which is located in Laoying Valley and then further to Fuyun via Kalamaili Conservation for Hoofed Animal in the Gobi desert and then finally arrive at Fuyun County at dinner time. Overnight at Fuyun guesthouse

Day-4: Drive 120 km to Altay. afternoon visits to Birch Tree Park, local museum and the ancient rock carvings and paintings depicting nomadic daily life thousand years ago. Overnight in Golden Bridge Hotel

Day-5: Drive to the Kanas Lake, the most beautiful mountain lake you have never seen and the landscape overthere is beyond words. Overnight at Russian style wooden house

Day-6: A boat trip is highly recommended, also a visit to local ethnic family�TUWA people. Overnight at Russian style wooden house

Day-7: Drive to Burqin County, on the way we can have several stops at Kazak yurts and their grassland. Overnight at Burqin Guesthouse

Day-8: Drive to karamay City. we will see the �Monster City��a Yardan, landform shaped by wind erosion and looks like ruined castles or various kinds of animals. Karamay means �black oil� in Uygur language and now it is a petroleum city. Overnight at Karamay Hotel

Day-9: Early morning drive 275 km to Kangjia Shimenzi Rock Carving which is famous for its rock carvings that can be rated as the treasure of the original art of Xinjiang. The carving section on the rock is 13m in length and 9m in width. Within the carving, about 200 nude figures of both sexes were primitively and crudely carved. All of them have the same subject, expressing sexual intercourse and reproduction of human being. About dinner time arrival into Urumqi. Overnight in Hotel World Plaza or Miramar Hotel

Day-10: Excursion to the Heavenly Lake�a project of Man and Biology by UNESCO . afternoon visiting the Regional Museum and excursion to Erdaoqiao International Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Hotel World Plaza or Miramar Hotel
